Habagat to bring cloudy skies, rain over PH
The Southwest Monsoon or Habagat will bring cloudy skies with rain showers over the country on Thursday, PAGASA reported.
Meanwhile, the state weather bureau continues to monitor Severe Tropical Storm Podul (formerly Gorio) located 650 kilometers northwest of extreme of Northern Luzon, packing maximum sustained winds of up to 95 kilometers per hour, gustiness of up to 160 km/h and moving west northwestward at the speed of 35 km/h.
Metro Manila, Ilocos Region, CALABARZON, MIMAROPA, Bicol Region, Visayas, Zamboanga Peninsula, Northern Mindanao, Caraga, Zambales, Bataan, Pampanga, Tarlac, Bulacan, and Davao Oriental will have cloudy skies with scattered rains and thunderstorms due to the southwest monsoon as flash floods or landslides may occur due to moderate to at times heavy rains.
The rest of the country will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms due to the localized thunderstorms with flash floods or landslides possibly occurring during severe thunderstorms.
The wind speed forecast for Luzon is moderate and moving in the southwest to southeast direction with moderate coastal waters.
Visayas and Mindanao will experience light to moderate light wind speed moving southwestward with slight to moderate coastal waters.
