PAGASA raises yellow rainfall warning over 4 Luzon provinces
State weather bureau PAGASA raised Friday morning yellow rainfall warning over four provinces in Luzon.
In an advisory issued at 11 a.m., PAGASA said Southwest Monsoon or Habagat will cause heavy rainfall which may result to flooding in flood-prone areas.
Affected are:
- Zambales,
- Bataan,
- Tarlac (San Jose, Capas, Bamban), and
- Pampanga (Porac, Floridablanca).
Meanwhile, the following areas are currently experiencing light to moderate with occasional heavy rains:
- Batangas,
- Laguna,
- Metro Manila,
- Cavite,
- Rizal,
- Tarlac (Concepcion, Anao, Tarlac City, Gerona, La Paz, Paniqui, Pura, Ramos, San Manuel, Victoria, Camiling, Mayantoc, Moncada, San Clemente, Santa Ignacia),
- Pampanga (Lubao, Sasmuan, Apalit, Arayat, Bacolor, Candaba, San Fernando, Macabebe, Magalang, Masantol, Mexico, Minalin, San Luis, San Simon, Santa Ana, Santo Tomas, Angeles, Mabalacat, Guagua, Santa Rita), and
- Quezon (General Nakar, Infanta, Real, Mauban, Sampaloc, Tayabas, Lucban, Sariaya, Dolores, Tiaong, San Antonio, Candelaria).
It may persist within three hours and may affect nearby areas.
On the other hand, Nueva Ecija and Bulacan can expect light to moderate rains within the next three hours.
PAGASA advised the public and the Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Offices concerned to monitor the weather condition and watch for the next warning to be issued at 2 p.m. Friday. —AOL, GMA Integrated News
