Storm surge warning up in Cagayan, Ilocos Norte, Ilocos Sur
State weather bureau PAGASA warned Tuesday of minimal to moderate risk of storm surge in the coastal areas of Cagayan, Ilocos Norte, and Ilocos Sur.
In a storm surge warning issued at 8 a.m., PAGASA said one meter to two meter-high waves may occur within the next 12 hours in the following low-lying coastal areas:

Ilocos Norte
- Bacarra
- Badoc
- Bangui
- Burgos
- Currimao
- Laoag City
- Pagudpud
- Paoay
- Pasuquin
Ilocos Sur
- Cabugao
- Magsingal
- San Juan (Lapog)
- San Vicente
- Santo Domingo
- Sinait
- Caoayan
- Santa Catalina
- Vigan
PAGASA advised residents to cancel all marine activities and stay away from the coast or beach or move to higher grounds.
In a tropical cyclone bulletin issued at 5 a.m. Tuesday, PAGASA said Super Typhoon Nando continues to weaken as it heads to exit the Philippine area of responsibility.—AOL, GMA Integrated News
