Scattered rains, thunderstorms expected over Palawan, Occidental Mindoro
Palawan and Occidental Mindoro are expected to have cloudy skies with scattered rains and thunderstorms due to the Southwest Monsoon (Habagat), state weather bureau PAGASA said Saturday.
In its daily weather report as of 4 p.m., PAGASA said flash floods or landslides may occur due to moderate to at times heavy rains in the two provinces.
Meanwhile, Metro Manila and the rest of the country will experience partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms due to the easterlies.
PAGASA warned of possible flash floods or landslides during severe thunderstorms.
In a separate public weather forecast, PAGASA said Typhoon Opong, which exited the Philippine Area of Responsibility on Saturday morning, was located at 665 kms west of Iba, Zambales as of 3 p.m.
It was carrying winds of 130 kph and gusts of up to 160 kph. It is moving west northwestward at 30 kph.
