Moderate to heavy rains affect parts of Metro Manila, 4 Luzon provinces

Parts of Metro Manila and four provinces in Luzon experienced moderate to heavy rains with lightning and strong winds Tuesday afternoon.

In a thunderstorm advisory issued at 1:04 p.m., state weather bureau PAGASA said the affected areas are: 

• Metro Manila (Caloocan, Valenzuela, Malabon, Navotas, Quezon City), 
• Quezon (General Nakar, Unisan, Plaridel, Gumaca, Atimonan, Tagkawayan, Panukulan, Burdeos, Polillo, Patnanungan, Jomalig), 
• Rizal (Rodriguez), 
• Bulacan (Norzagaray, Obando, Meycauayan) and 
• Batangas (Tingloy, Mabini, Batangas City). 

The bad weather may persist within two hours and affect nearby areas. 

Meanwhile, moderate to heavy rains with lightning and strong winds are expected over Nueva Ecija, Pampanga, Laguna and Cavite within the next two hours.

Affected residents are advised to take precautionary measures against flash floods and landslides. —AOL, GMA Integrated News
