Northeasterly wind to prevail over parts of Luzon
Several areas of the country will experience cloudy skies and rain due to the Intertropical Convergence Zone (ITCZ) and Northeasterly Windflow, PAGASA said Tuesday afternoon.
Based on the state weather bureau’s 4 p.m. weather forecast, the ICZ will bring cloudy skies with scattered rains and thunderstorms over Visayas, Mindanao, and Palawan.
Meanwhile, the Northeasterly Windflow will affect the weather conditions of Quezon, Camarines Norte, Cagayan Valley, Ilocos Norte, Apayao, and Aurora.
Partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms are forecast for Metro Manila and the rest of Luzon due to localized thunderstorms.
PAGASA warned that these weather conditions may trigger flash floods and landslides.
It is also monitoring the tropical depression outside the Philippine Area of Responsibility.
At 3 p.m., the storm was located 2,280 kilometers east of Central Luzon, carrying maximum sustained winds of 55 km/h near the center and gustiness of up to 70 km/h. It was traveling northwestward at 35 km/h.
Winds will be light to moderate, while coastal waters will be slight to moderate throughout the country.
Sunrise in Metro Manila will be at 5:46 a.m. on Wednesday. —Mariel Celine Serquiña/VBL, GMA Integrated News
