ITCZ, Amihan to bring rains over some areas
An Intertropical Convergence Zone (ITCZ) and the Northeast Monsoon (Amihan) will bring rains over some areas on Sunday, PAGASA said in its weather forecast.
Visayas, Mindanao, and Palawan will have cloudy skies with scattered rains and thunderstorms due to the ITCZ. Moderate to at times heavy rains may possibly result in flash floods or landslides.
The Northeast Monsoon meanwhile is affecting Northern Luzon.
The Cordillera Administrative Region and Cagayan Valley may expect cloudy skies with rains, with the possibility of flash floods or landslides due to moderate to at times heavy rains.
The Ilocos Region meanwhile will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated light rains due to the monsoon, with no significant impact.
The province of Aurora, on the other hand, will have cloudy skies with scattered rains and isolated thunderstorms due to the shear line. The rains may be moderate to heavy and possibly cause flash floods or landslides.
The rest of Central Luzon will also be affected by the shear line and will experience partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms. During severe thunderstorms, flash floods or landslides may possibly result.
Metro Manila and the rest of Luzon on the other hand will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms due to localized thunderstorms. Flash floods or landslides may occur during severe thunderstorms.
Coastal waters will be moderate to rough in Northern Luzon, and slight to moderate in the rest of the country.
