4 weather systems to bring rains over parts of PH

Cloudy skies and rain are expected in several parts of the country due to three weather systems, PAGASA said Monday afternoon.

In its 4 p.m. bulletin, PAGASA said the Intertropical Convergence Zone (ITCZ) will affect Zamboanga Peninsula, Caraga, Northern Mindanao, BARMM, Sultan Kudarat, Sarangani, and Palawan.

This system will also bring partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms across the rest of Mindanao.

Cloudy skies with scattered rains and isolated thunderstorms will persist in Cagayan, Isabela, and Apayao due to the shear line, according to the weather bureau.

Aurora, Quezon, and Camarines Norte will also have cloudy skies with scattered rains and thunderstorms due to the easterlies, which will similarly influence weather conditions in Metro Manila and the rest of the country.

PAGASA warned that these conditions may trigger flash floods or landslides.

Meanwhile, Batanes and Ilocos Norte will experience partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated light rains due to the Northeast Monsoon (Amihan), though with no significant impact.

As of 2 p.m., PAGASA said no low-pressure area is being monitored for possible tropical cyclone development.

The agency added that winds will be moderate to strong, with moderate to rough seas in the northern and western sections of Northern Luzon. The rest of the country can expect light to moderate winds and slight to moderate coastal waters.

Sunrise in Metro Manila on Tuesday will be at 5:58 a.m.—MCG, GMA Integrated News
