1 or 2 tropical cyclones may possibly be in PAR this December 2025 —PAGASA
One or two tropical cyclones may form inside or enter the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR) before the year ends, PAGASA said Monday.
"Ngayong Disyembre, isa hanggang dalawang bagyo ang inaasahan nating maaaring mabuo o papasok ng Philippine Area of Responsibility," PAGASA weather specialist Obet Badrina said during a public weather forecast.
(This December, one or up to two tropical cyclones are expected to be formed inside or enter the Philippine Area of Responsibility.)
The expected tropical cyclone or cyclones has or have a high chance of making landfall over Aurora, the Bicol Region, Eastern Visayas, or Caraga, according to a report by Anjo Pertierra on Unang Balita.
On Monday, PAGASA is monitoring a cloud cluster located east of the PAR.
"May posibilidad itong maging low pressure area sa mga susunod na araw at papasok sa PAR," Badrina said.
(There is a possibility that this will become a low pressure area in the coming days and enter PAR.)
Meanwhile, three weather systems – the Intertropical Convergence Zone (ITCZ), the Northeast Monsoon (amihan), and the easterlies – will bring cloudy skies and rains to different parts of the country on Monday, the state weather bureau said. —KG, GMA Integrated News
