LPA east of Eastern Visayas now Tropical Depression Wilma

The low pressure area (LPA) east of Eastern Visayas developed as a tropical depression and is now named “Wilma,” state weather bureau PAGASA said on Thursday morning.
“At 8:00 a.m. today (04 December), the low pressure area located east of Eastern Visayas developed into Tropical Depression Wilma,” PAGASA said in an update.
“Tropical Cyclone Bulletins will be issued beginning at 11:00 a.m. today. All are advised to monitor updates from DOST-PAGASA,” the agency added.
Wilma was last spotted 650 kilometers east of Eastern Visayas, packing winds of 45 km per hour (kph) and gusts of 55 kph.
The tropical depression was moving west southwest at 20 kph. —VAL, GMA Integrated News
