Moderate to heavy rain in parts of PH on non-working holiday Monday
Moderate to heavy rainfall is expected in some parts of Luzon on Monday due to the low pressure area (LPA) that was once Tropical Depression Wilma and the shear line, PAGASA said Sunday evening.
Wilma, which weakened to an LPA on Sunday morning, was located over the coastal waters of Kalibo, Aklan as of 8 p.m.
In its 11 p.m. advisory, the state weather bureau said the LPA will bring 50 to 100 mm of rainfall to the provinces of Oriental Mindoro, Marinduque, and Romblon from tonight until Monday evening.
The shear line, meanwhile, is forecast to bring the same amount of rain to the provinces of Quezon, Isabela, Aurora, Laguna, Batangas, Camarines Norte, Camarines Sur, Cantanduanes, and Albay from tonight until Monday evening.
The effects of Wilma and the shear line affected more than 134,000 individuals across seven regions: the Bicol Region, Western Visayas, Negros Island, Central Visayas, Eastern Visayas, Northern Mindanao, and Caraga.
