4 weather systems to bring cloudy skies, rains over Luzon
A Low Pressure Area (LPA), shear line, northeast monsoon (amihan), easterlies to bring cloudy skies with scattered rains over parts of Luzon on Tuesday, PAGASA reported.
At 3 a.m., an LPA was estimated at 390 kilometers west of Puerto Princesa City, Palawan that will bring cloudy skies with scattered rains and thunderstormes over kalayan islands with the possibiliyy of flash floods or landslides occurring due to moderate to at times heavy rains.
The Cordillera Administrative Region, Cagayan, Isabela, Nueva Vizcaya, Quirino, Aurora, and Quezon will have cloudy skies with scattered rains and isolated thunderstorms due to the shear line. Flash floods or landslides may occur in these areas due to moderate to at times heavy rains.
The northeast monsoon will bring cloudy skies with light rains over Batanes and Ilocos Norte but this will have no significant impact.
Metro Manila, the rest of Ilocos Region, and the rest of Central Luzon will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated light rains also due to the northeast monsoon with no significant impact.
Bicol Region and Eastern Visayas will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms due to the easterlies. Flash floods or landslides may occur in these regions during severe thunderstorms.
The rest of the country will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms due to localized thunderstorms with the possibility that flash floods or landslides will occur during severe thunderstorms.
The wind speed forecast for northern and eastern sections of Luzon is moderate to strong and moving northeastward with rough coastal waters.
The rest of Luzon will exprience moderate to strong wind speed moving northeastward with moderate to rough coastal waters.
Visayas and Mindanao will have light to moderate wind speed moving in the northeast to north direction while coastal waters will be slight to moderate.
