Thunderstorm advisory up over parts of Metro Manila, 3 Luzon provinces
Parts of Metro Manila and three provinces in Luzon are expected to experience moderate to heavy rains with lightning and strong winds Friday morning, according to state weather bureau PAGASA.
In its thunderstorm advisory issued at 8:55 a.m., PAGASA said the following areas will experience bad weather within the next two hours:
- Metro Manila (Quezon City, Caloocan, Marikina, Pasig, San Juan, Mandaluyong, Manila, Makati, Taguig, Pateros, Pasay, Paranaque),
- Laguna (Santa Maria, Mabitac, Famy, Siniloan, Paete, Kalayaan, Pangil, Pakil, Lumban, Cavinti, Luisiana, Majayjay, Liliw, Pagsanjan, Santa Cruz, Magdalena, Pila, Rizal, Nagcarlan, Calauan, Victoria, San Pablo, Alaminos, Bay, Los Banos),
- Batangas (Santo Tomas, Tanauan, Malvar, Balete, Mataasnakahoy, Cuenca, Alitagtag, Bauan, Mabini, San Pascual, San Jose, Lipa, Ibaan, Padre Garcia, Rosario, San Juan, Lobo, Batangas City, Taysan), and
- Nueva Ecija (General Tinio, Gabaldon, Bongabon, Pantabangan).
Meanwhile, moderate to heavy rains with lightning and strong winds are being experienced in the following areas:
- Quezon (General Nakar, Panukulan, Polillo, Infanta, Real),
- Bulacan (Dona Remedios Trinidad), and
- Rizal (Tanay, Antipolo).
It may persist within two hours and affect nearby areas.
Affected residents are advised to take precautionary measures against possible flash floods and landslides.—AOL, GMA Integrated News
