Amihan brings rainy Monday to parts of Luzon
The Northeast Monsoon (Amihan) is expected to bring cloudy skies and rain in several areas of Luzon in the next 24 hours, PAGASA said Sunday afternoon.
According to its 4 p.m. weather forecast, the state weather bureau said the affected areas are Apayao, Kalinga, Mountain Province, Ifugao, Cagayan, Isabela, Quirino, Nueva Vizcaya, Aurora, and Quezon.
Metro Manila and the rest of Luzon will experience partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated light rains also due to the Amihan.
PAGASA said these weather conditions will have no specific impact.
Meanwhile, partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated light rains will persist over the Caraga and Davao Region due to the easterlies.
The Easterlies will also bring partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms over Visayas, the Bicol Region, MIMAROPA, and the rest of Mindanao.
PAGASA warned that these weather conditions may trigger flash floods or landslides.
As of 2 p.m., PAGASA reported that no low pressure areas (LPA) are being monitored for tropical cyclone formation.
State meteorologists also said winds will be strong to gale, while coastal waters will be rough to very rough in Northern Luzon.
The rest of Luzon will experience moderate to strong wind conditions and moderate to rough coastal water conditions.
Winds will be light to moderate, while coastal waters will be slight to moderate throughout the rest of the country.
Sunrise in Metro Manila will be at 6:13 a.m. on Monday. —Mariel Celine Serquiña/RF, GMA Integrated News
