Parts of PH to experience cloudy skies, rains due to shear line, Amihan, easterlies

Three weather systems affecting the country – the shear line, Northeast Monsoon, and easterlies – are expected to bring cloudy skies and rains to different parts of the Philippines on Tuesday, the state weather bureau said.

In its 4 a.m. daily weather forecast, PAGASA said the shear line is affecting the eastern section of Central Luzon while the Northeast Monsoon is affecting Northern Luzon and the rest of Central Luzon.

Meanwhile, the easterlies are affecting the rest of the country.

PAGASA said there are no low pressure areas (LPAs) being monitored so far for possible tropical cyclone formation.

The shear line will bring cloudy skies and scattered rains and isolated thunderstorms over Aurora and Quezon, and partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers and thunderstorms over the rest of CALABARZON.

Meanwhile, the easterlies will cause cloudy skies with scattered rains and thunderstorms in the Bicol Region, Caraga, Davao Region, Northern Samar, Eastern Samar, and Southern Leyte.

The easterlies will also bring partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms over the rest of the country.

Cagayan, Isabela, Quirino, Nueva Vizcaya, Apayao, Kalinga, Mountain Province, and Ifugao will experience cloudy skies with rains on Tuesday as a result of the Northeast Monsoon.

PAGASA warned of possible flash floods or landslides due to moderate to at times heavy rains in these areas.

Meanwhile, the Northeast Monsoon will bring partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated light rains over Metro Manila, Ilocos Region, the rest of Cordillera Administrative Region, the rest of Cagayan Valley, and the rest of Central Luzon.

Northern Luzon will experience strong winds and rough coastal water conditions, while the rest of Luzon and the eastern section of Visayas will have moderate to strong winds and moderate to rough coastal water conditions.

The rest of the country will experience light to moderate rains and slight to moderate coastal water conditions.
