Cloudy skies, isolated rains to prevail over parts of PH on Wednesday

Several parts of the country are expected to see cloudy skies with isolated light rains due to the prevailing four weather systems, PAGASA said in its Wednesday bulletin.

Meanwhile, as of 2 a.m. of December 17, 2025, no low pressure areas are being monitored for tropical cyclone formation, the weather bureau added.

Cagayan, Isabela, Quirino, Nueva Vizcaya, Aurora, and Quezon will experience cloudy skies with scattered rains and isolated thunderstorms as a result of the shear line.

Bicol Region, Caraga, Northern Samar, Eastern Samar, and Southern Leyte will also have cloudy skies with scattered rains and thunderstorms due to the easterlies.

The Northeast Monsoon will bring cloudy skies with rains to Batanes, Apayao, Kalinga, Mountain Province, and Ifugao.

Zamboanga Peninsula, Davao Region, SOCCSKSARGEN, Sultan Kudarat, Sarangani, Basilan, and Tawi-Tawi will see cloudy skies with scattered rains and thunderstorms due to the Intertropical Convergence Zone.

Metro Manila, Ilocos Region, the rest of Cordillera Administrative Region, and the rest of Central Luzon will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated light rains as a result of the Northeast Monsoon.

The rest of the country will also have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms due to the easterlies.
