Cloudy skies, rains over PH due to shear line, Amihan, easterlies

Three weather systems affecting the country are expected to bring cloudy skies with rains over different parts of the Philippines on Monday, the state weather bureau said.

In its 4 a.m. daily weather forecast, PAGASA said the shear line is affecting the eastern sections of Northern and Central Luzon while the Northeast Monsoon is affecting the rest of Northern Luzon.

Meanwhile, the easterlies are affecting the rest of the country.

PAGASA said there are no low pressure areas (LPAs) being monitored for tropical cyclone formation so far.

The shearline is expected to cause cloudy skies with scattered rains and isolated thunderstorms in Isabela, Quirino, Nueva Vizcaya, Kalinga, Mountain Province, Ifugao, Aurora, Nueva Ecija, Bulacan, Rizal, and Quezon.

Meanwhile, Metro Manila and the rest of Central Luzon will experience partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms as a result of the shear line.

The Northeast Monsoon will bring cloudy skies with rains over Ilocos Norte, the rest of Cagayan Valley, and the rest of Cordillera Administrative Region, and partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated light rains over the rest of Ilocos Region.

On the other hand, the easterlies will cause cloudy skies and scattered rains and thunderstorms in Visayas, MIMAROPA, Bicol Region, Dinagat Islands, and Surigao del Norte, and partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms over the rest of the country.

Extreme Northern Luzon will experience strong to gale-force winds and rough to very rough coastal water conditions, while Central Luzon and the rest of Northern Luzon will have moderate to strong winds and moderate to rough coastal water conditions.

The rest of the country will have light to moderate winds and slight to moderate coastal water conditions.
