Cloudy skies, light rain to persist in NCR, Luzon on Christmas Day
Metro Manila and several areas in Luzon are expected to have cloudy skies and rain on Thursday, Christmas Day, PAGASA said Wednesday afternoon.
In its 4 p.m. weather forecast, the state weather bureau said the Northeast Monsoon (Amihan) will affect weather conditions in Cagayan, Isabela, Aurora, and Quezon.
It will also bring partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated light rains over Metro Manila, the Ilocos Region, the Cordillera Administrative Region, the rest of Cagayan Valley, the rest of Central Luzon, and the rest of CALABARZON.
PAGASA said these weather conditions will have no significant impact on the affected areas.
The rest of the country will experience partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms due to the easterlies.
PAGASA warned that these severe thunderstorms may trigger flash floods or landslides.
State meteorologists also said winds will be moderate to strong, while coastal waters will be moderate to rough in extreme Northern Luzon and the eastern section of the country.
The rest of the country will experience light to moderate wind conditions and slight to moderate coastal water conditions.
The sun will rise at 6:18 a.m. on Thursday. — Mariel Celine Serquiña/BM, GMA Integrated News
