Amihan to bring cloudy skies, light rains over PH
Cloudy skies with occasional light rains will continue to prevail over much of Luzon in the next 24 hours as the northeast monsoon remains the dominant weather system, while easterly winds will affect the rest of the country, PAGASA said on Sunday.
In its public weather forecast issued at 4 a.m., PAGASA said northern Luzon, including Batanes, Cagayan, Isabela, and Apayao, will experience cloudy skies with light rains due to the monsoon.
Metro Manila and the rest of Luzon are expected to have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated light rains, also associated with the northeast monsoon or Amihan.
Meanwhile, Visayas, Mindanao, and Palawan will generally experience partly cloudy to cloudy conditions with isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms caused by easterly winds.
PAGASA warned that localized heavy downpours may occur during thunderstorms.
The weather bureau also cautioned the public about rough sea conditions in northern and eastern coastal waters.
PAGASA said sunrise is at 6:19 a.m., while sunset will be at 5:36 p.m.—MCG, GMA Integrated News
