Rainy Monday in parts of Bicol, Samar, Mindanao due to 3 weather systems

Three weather systems are expected to bring rain in parts of the Bicol Region, Eastern Visayas and Mindanao, PAGASA said Sunday afternoon.

In its 4 p.m. weather forecast, the state weather bureau said Catanduanes, Albay, Sorsogon, Northern Samar, Eastern Samar, and Samar will experience cloudy skies with scattered rains and isolated thunderstorms due to the shearline.

Cloudy skies with scattered rains and thunderstorms will persist over Caraga, the rest of Eastern Visayas, Palawan, and Davao Oriental due to the easterlies.

Easterlies will also bring partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms throughout the rest of the country.

PAGASA warned that these weather conditions may trigger flash floods and landslides.

The Northeast Monsoon (Amihan) will bring partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated light rains over Metro Manila, the Ilocos Region, the Cordillera Administrative Region, Cagayan Valley, Central Luzon, and CALABARZON, with no significant impact.

State meteorologists also said winds will be moderate to strong, while coastal waters will be moderate to rough in Northern and Central Luzon, the eastern sections of Southern Luzon, and Visayas.

The rest of the country will experience light to moderate wind conditions and slight to moderate coastal water conditions.

Sunrise in Metro Manila will be at 6:20 a.m. on Monday.— Mariel Celine Serquiña/RF, GMA Integrated News
