Amihan, shear line, easterlies to bring cloudy skies, rains on Monday
Three weather systems – the Northeast Monsoon, the shear line, and the easterlies – are expected to bring cloudy skies and scattered rains in different parts of the country, the state weather bureau said on Monday.
In its 4 a.m. public weather forecast, PAGASA said the Northeast Monsoon is affecting Northern and Central Luzon while the shear line affecting the eastern sections of Southern Luzon and Visayas.
On the other hand, easterlies are affecting the rest of the country.
The state weather bureau said there are no low pressure areas (LPAs) being monitored for possible tropical cyclone formation so far.
Metro Manila and the rest of Luzon will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated light rains due to the Northeast Monsoon.
Meanwhile, Sorsogon, Northern Samar, Eastern Samar, and Samar will experience cloudy skies with scattered rains and isolated thunderstorms caused by the shear line.
The easterlies will bring cloudy skies with scattered rains and thunderstorms to Caraga and the rest of Eastern Visayas, and partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms over the rest of the country.
Meanwhile, Northern and Central Luzon, as well as the eastern sections of Southern Luzon and Visayas will experience moderate to strong winds and moderate to rough coastal waters.
