Isolated rains to persist on Rizal Day - PAGASA
Isolated rains will persist in several areas around the country on December 30, Rizal Day due to two weather systems, PAGASA said Monday afternoon.
According to its 4 p.m. weather forecast, parts of the Visayas, Mindanao, Palawan, Sorsogon, and Masbate will experience partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms due to the easterlies.
PAGASA warned that these moderate to at times heavy rains may trigger flash floods or landslides.
Partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated light rains will be observed in Metro Manila and the rest of Luzon due to the Northeast Monsoon (Amihan), with no significant impact.
State meteorologists also said winds will be moderate to strong, while coastal waters will be moderate to rough in Luzon.
Visayas and Mindanao will experience light to moderate wind conditions and slight to moderate coastal water conditions.
Sunrise in Metro Manila will be at 6:20 a.m. on Tuesday. — Mariel Celine Serquiña/RF, GMA Integrated News
