PH to have cloudy skies, rains due to shear line, easterlies, Amihan
The shear line and easterlies will continue to bring cloudy skies and rains over several parts of the country on Monday, the state weather bureau said.
In its 4 a.m. public weather forecast on Monday, PAGASA said the shear line is affecting Visayas and the eastern section of Southern Luzon while the easterlies are affecting Mindanao.
Meanwhile, the Northeast Monsoon is affecting the rest of Luzon.
Visayas, Bicol Region, Quezon, Oriental Mindoro, Marinduque, and Romblon are forecast to have cloudy skies with scattered rains and isolated thunderstorms as a result of the shear line.
The easterlies will cause cloudy skies and scattered rains and thunderstorms over Zamboanga Peninsula, Basilan, Sulu, Tawi-Tawi, and Palawan, and partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms over the rest of Mindanao.
The state weather bureau warned of possible flash floods or landslides in these areas due to moderate to at times heavy rains or severe thunderstorms.
Meanwhile, the Northeast Monsoon will bring cloudy skies with light rains over the Cordillera Administrative Region, Cagayan Valley, Aurora, Laguna, Batangas, and the rest of the Mimaropa region.
The Amihan is also forecast to cause partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated light rains over Metro Manila and the rest of Luzon.
Meanwhile, the eastern section of the country will experience moderate to strong winds and moderate to rough coastal water conditions.
The rest of the country will have light to moderate winds and slightly to moderate coastal water conditions.
