LPA trough to bring rains in 4 areas in PH
The trough of a low-pressure area (LPA) will bring rains to four areas in the country over the next 24 hours, PAGASA said Tuesday afternoon.
According to its 4 p.m. weather forecast, the affected provinces are Basilan, Sulu, Tawi-Tawi, and Palawan.
Meanwhile, the Bicol Region, and the provinces of Quezon, Oriental Mindoro, Marinduque, Romblon, and Northern Samar will experience cloudy skies with scattered rains and isolated thunderstorms due to the shear line.
Cloudy skies with scattered rains and thunderstorms will persist throughout the rest of Eastern Visayas because of the easterlies, PAGASA said.
The easterlies will also bring partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms to the rest of the country.
PAGASA warned that these weather conditions may trigger flash floods and landslides.
The northeast monsoon (amihan) will affect the Cordillera Administrative Region, Cagayan Valley, Aurora, Metro Manila, and the rest of Luzon, but with no significant impact.
PAGASA said no low-pressure areas are being monitored for tropical cyclone formation.
State meteorologists also said winds will be moderate to strong, while coastal waters will be moderate to rough in Luzon.
The rest of the country will experience light to moderate winds and slight to moderate coastal water conditions.
