Cloudy skies, rains expected on Monday due to 3 weather systems
The shear line, Northeast Monsoon, and easterlies will bring cloudy skies and rains over some parts of the country on Monday, the state weather bureau said.
In its 4 a.m. daily weather forecast, PAGASA said the three weather systems are affecting the country and that there are no low pressure areas (LPAs) being monitored for possible tropical cyclone formation.
The shear line is affecting the eastern sections of Northern and Central Luzon while the Northeast Monsoon is affecting the rest of Northern and Central Luzon.
Meanwhile, the easterlies are affecting the rest of the country.
Cagayan, Isabela, Aurora, and Quezon will experience cloudy skies with scattered rains and isolated thunderstorms on Monday as a result of the shear line.
The Northeast Monsoon will bring cloudy skies with light rains to the Cordillera Administrative Region and the rest of Cagayan Valley, and partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated light rains to Metro Manila, Ilocos Region, and the rest of Central Luzon.
The rest of the country will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms because of the easterlies.
PAGASA warned of possible flash floods or landslides due to severe thunderstorms or moderate to at times heavy rains in some parts of the country.
In addition, Northern Luzon and the eastern section of Central and Southern Luzon will experience moderate to strong winds and moderate to rough coastal water conditions.
The rest of Luzon and the eastern sections of Visayas and Mindanao will have moderate to strong winds and moderate to rough coastal water conditions as well.
The rest of the country will experience light to moderate winds and slight to moderate coastal water conditions.
