Ada, amihan to bring cloudy skies, rains over parts of PH

Tropical Depression Ada and the Northeast Monsoon (amihan) will bring cloudy skies with scattered rains over parts of the country on Thursday, PAGASA reported.

At 3 a.m., the center of Tropical Depression Ada was estimated at 485 kilometers East of Surigao City, Surigao del Norte with maximum sustained winds of 55 kilometers per hour near the center and gustiness of up to 70 km/h and moving Northwestward at 20 km/h.

Eastern Samar, Surigao del Norte, and Dinagat IslandsRains with gusty winds due to Tropical Depression Ada. Flash floods or landslides may occur in these areas due to moderate to heavy rains and cause minimal to minor threat to life and property due to strong winds.

Central Visayas, the rest of Eastern Visayas, the rest of Caraga, Davao Oriental, Camiguin, Misamis Oriental, Bukidnon, Albay, Sorsogon, Masbate, and Catanduanes will have cloudy skies with scattered rains and thunderstorms due to Tropical Depression Ada. Flash floods or landslides may occur due to moderate to at times heavy rains.

The Northeast Monsoon (amihan) will bring cloudy skies with rains over Cagayan, Isabela, Aurora, and QuezonCloudy skies with rains with the possible occurrence of flash floods or landslides due to light to moderate with at times heavy rains.

Metro Manila, Cordillera Administrative Region, the rest of CALABARZON, and the rest of Cagayan Valley will have cloudy skies with light rains also due to the Northeast Monsoon but this will have no significant impact.

Ilocos Region and the rest of Central Luzon will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated light rains due to the Northeast Monsoon but will have no significant impact.

The rest of the countryPartly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers and thunderstorms due to localized thunderstorms. Flash floods or landslides may occur during severe thunderstorms.

The eastern sections of Visayas and Mindanao will experience moderate to strong wind speed moving in the northeast to northwest direction while coastal waters will be moderate to rough.

Northern Luzon, and the eastern sections of Central Luzon and Southern Luzon will experience moderate to strong wind speed moving northeastward while coastal waters will be moderate to rough.

The rest of the country will experience light to moderate wind speed moving in the northeast to north direction with slight to moderate coastal waters.
