Rainy weather over parts of PH due to Ada, amihan

Tropical Storm Ada and the Northeast Monsoon (amihan) will bring cloudy skies and rains over parts of the country on Friday, PAGASA reported.

As of 3 a.m., the center of Tropical Storm Ada was estimated at 430 kilometers East of Maasin City, Southern Leyte with maximum sustained winds of 65 kilometers per hour near the center, gustiness of up to 80 km/h and moving North Northwestward slowly.

Eastern Visayas, Catanduanes, Sorsogon, Dinagat Islands, Surigao del Norte, and Surigao del Sur will have rains with gusty winds due to Tropical Storm Ada. Flash floods or landslides may occur in these areas due to moderate to heavy rains with minimal to minor threat to life and property due to strong winds.

Northern Mindanao, the rest of Visayas, the rest of Bicol Region, the rest of Caraga, and Zamboanga del Norte will have cloudy skies with scattered rains and thunderstorms also due to Tropical Storm Ada. There may be flash floods or landslides that will occur due to moderate to heavy rains.

Cordillera Administrative Region, Cagayan Valley, and Aurora will have cloudy skies with light rains due to the Northeast Monsoon but this will have no significant impact.

Metro Manila, Ilocos Region, CALABARZON, and the rest of Central Luzon will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated light rains also due to the Northeast Monsoon but this will have no significant impact.

The rest of the country will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers and thunderstorms due to Localized Thunderstorms with the possibility that flash floods or landslides will occur during severe thunderstorms.

The eastern sections of Southern Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao will experience moderate to strong wind speed moving in the Northeast to Northwest direction while coastal waters will be moderate to rough.

The wind speed forecast for Northern Luzon is moderate to strong moving northeastward with moderate to rough coastal waters.

The rest of the country will have light to moderate wind speed moving in the Northeast to North direction and slight to moderate coastal waters.
