Tropical Depression Ada maintains strength over PH Sea
Tropical Depression Ada (international name: Nokaen) maintained its strength as it continued moving northeastward over the Philippine Sea on Tuesday, PAGASA said.
According to PAGASA’s 11 a.m. cyclone bulletin, Ada was last seen at 820 kilometers east of Northern Luzon.
Ada had maximum sustained winds of 55 kph and gustiness of up to 70 kph.
While no wind signals were hoisted anywhere in the country, PAGASA said that the surge of the Northeast Monsoon (Amihan) will also bring strong to gale-force gusts over some areas in the country.
A gale warning also remains in effect over the northern seaboard of Northern Luzon.
Meanwhile, PAGASA shared that Ada may continue to move generally eastward before turning south southeastward on Wednesday.
Ada may be downgraded into a low pressure area by Wednesday due to gradual weakening resulting to continuous dry air entrainment from the Northeast Monsoon. —Jiselle Anne C. Casucian/KG, GMA Integrated News
