Amihan to bring cloudy skies, light rain over Luzon

The Northeast Monsoon (amihan) will bring cloudy skies with light rains over Luzon on Wednesday, PAGASA reported.

The weather bureau continues to monitor Tropical Depression Ada, the center of which as of 3 a.m. was estimated at 1,205 kilometers east of Northern Luzon with maximum sustained winds of 55 kilometers per hour near the center, gustiness of up to 70 km/h and moving east southeastward at the speed of 20 km/h.

Cordillera Administrative Region, Cagayan Valley, Bicol Region, Aurora, and Quezon will have cloudy skies with light rains due to the Northeast Monsoon but this will have no significant impact.

Metro Manila, Ilocos Region, the rest of Central Luzon, the rest of CALABARZON, Oriental Mindoro, Occidental Mindoro, Marinduque, and Romblon will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated light rains also due to the Northeast Monsoon with no significant impact.

The rest of the country will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers and thunderstorms due to localized thunderstorms. Flash floods or landslides may occur during severe thunderstorms.

The wind speed forecast for Northern Luzon and the eastern sections of Central and Southern Luzon is strong to gale and moving northeastward with rough to very rough coastal waters.

The rest of Central Luzon will experience moderate to strong wind speed moving northeastward with moderate to rough coastal waters.

The eastern section of Visayas will have moderate to strong wind speed moving in the north to northwest direction while coastal waters will be moderate to rough.

The rest of the country will experience light to moderate wind speed moving in the northeast to northwest direction with slight to moderate coastal waters.
