PAGASA monitors LPA outside PAR; Ada moves over Philippine Sea
State weather bureau PAGASA is monitoring a low pressure area outside the Philippine Area of Responsibility while Tropical Depression Ada continues to move over the Philippine Sea.
According to PAGASA’s 11 a.m. cyclone bulletin on Wednesday, Ada was last seen at 1,245 kilometers east of Central Luzon with maximum sustained winds of 55 kph and a gustiness of up to 70 kph.
The LPA outside the PAR was located at 2,225 kilometers east of Southeastern Mindanao with a low chance of turning into a tropical depression in the next 24 hours.
No wind signals are currently raised in the country due to Ada, but PAGASA warned of possible severe strong to gale-force gusts in some areas due yo the surge of the Northeast Monsoon.
Meanwhile, a gale warning remains up over the eastern seaboards of Luzon and northern and western seaboards of Northern Luzon.
Ada is predicted to continue moving southeastward for the next 12 hours before it will downgrade into an LPA due to the dry air entrainment from the surge of northeast monsoon within the day. —Jiselle Anne C. Casucian/AOL, GMA Integrated News
