LPA, formerly Ada, still inside PAR

The low pressure area (LPA), which was formerly Tropical Depression Ada, is still inside the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR, the state weather bureau PAGASA said.

The LPA was monitored 1,390 kilometers east of southeastern Luzon as of 8 p.m. However, PAGASA said that it is unlikely to develop again into a tropical depression within the next 24 hours.

Ada degraded into an LPA earlier in the afternoon and may dissipate in the next 48 hours.

Further, another LPA, LPA 01c, is being monitored outside PAR at 2,090 kilometers east of southeastern Mindanao. PAGASA said it is also unlikely to become a tropical depression in the next 24 hours. —Vince Angelo Ferreras/RF, GMA Integrated News
