Amihan to bring cloudy skies, light rains over Luzon, Visayas

The Northeast Monsoon (amihan) will bring cloudy skies with light rains over Luzon and the Visayas on Thursday, PAGASA reported.

The state weather bureau continues to monitor the Low Pressure Area (formerly Ada), which is as of 3 a.m., estimated at 1,155 kilometers east of southeastern Luzon.

The Cordillera Administrative Region, Cagayan Valley, Caraga, Aurora, Quezon, Marinduque, Oriental Mindoro, Camarines Norte, Camarines Sur, Northern Samar, and Eastern Samar will have cloudy skies with light rains due to the Northeast Monsoon but this will have no significant impact.

Metro Manila, the rest of Luzon, the rest of Visayas, and Northern Mindanao will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated light rains due to the Northeast Monsoon with no significant impact.

The rest of Mindanao will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms due to localized thunderstorms as flash floods or landslides may occur during severe thunderstorms.

The wind speed forecast for Northern Luzon and the eastern sections of Central Luzon, Southern Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao is strong to gale and moving Northeastward with rough to very rough coastal waters.

The rest of Luzon and Visayas will experience moderate to strong wind speed moving northeastward with moderate to rough coastal waters.

The rest of Mindanao will experience moderate to strong wind speed moving in the northeast to north direction as coastal waters will be moderate to rough.
