Parts of VisMin to experience cloudy skies, rains from shear line

Parts of Visayas and Mindanao will see cloudy to rainy skies because of the shear line, the state weather bureau PAGASA said in its early Saturday morning forecast.

The shear line will bring cloudy skies with scattered rains and isolated thunderstorms to Caraga, Davao Region, Eastern Samar, Leyte, Southern Leyte, Camiguin, and Misamis Oriental.

PAGASA warned of possible flash floods or landslides due to moderate to at times heavy rains.

Cloudy skies with light rains will prevail in Cagayan Valley, the Bicol Region, Western Visayas, the rest of Eastern Visayas, the rest of Northern Mindanao, Apayao, Kalinga, Mountain Province, Ifugao, Aurora, Quezon, Marinduque, Romblon, and Oriental Mindoro due to the Northeast Monsoon (Amihan).

The rest of the country will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated light rains also due to Amihan.

Strong to gale-force winds and rough to very rough coastal water conditions are expected in the eastern sections of Visayas and Mindanao.

The rest of the country will experience moderate to strong winds and moderate to rough seas.

Sunrise in Metro Manila will be at 6:25 a.m. Sunset will take place at 5:51 p.m. —VBL, GMA Integrated News
