2 weather systems to cause cloudy skies, rains in some parts of PH

Two weather systems are expected to bring cloudy skies with light rains over some parts of the country on Monday, the state weather bureau said.

In its 4 a.m. daily weather outlook, PAGASA said the shear line is affecting the eastern sections of Visayas and Mindanao while the Northeast Monsoon is affecting Luzon and the rest of Visayas.

The shear line will bring cloudy skies with scattered rains and isolated thunderstorms over Caraga, Eastern Visayas, Central Visayas, Sorsogon, Masbate, Camiguin, and Misamis Oriental.

PAGASA warned of possible flash floods or landslides in these areas due to moderate to heavy rains.

In addition, the Northeast Monsoon will cause cloudy skies with light rains over Cagayan Valley, the rest of Visayas, the rest of Bicol Region, Apayao, Kalinga, Mountain Province, Ifugao, Aurora, Quezon, Oriental Mindoro, Marinduque, and Romblon.

Metro Manila and the rest of Luzon will also have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated light rains due to the Amihan.

The rest of Mindanao will experience partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms due to localized thunderstorms, with the possibility of flash floods or landslides during severe thunderstorms.

Meanwhile, the eastern sections of Visayas and Mindanao will have strong winds and rough coastal water conditions.

On the other hand, the northern and eastern sections of Luzon and the rest of the country will experience moderate to strong winds and moderate to rough coastal waters.
