Amihan to bring rains over Luzon, Visayas - PAGASA

The Northeast Monsoon or Amihan is expected to bring rains over Luzon and the Visayas on Wednesday, the state weather bureau PAGASA said.

According to the 24-hour weather forecast issued at 4 p.m. Tuesday, Amihan is forecast to bring cloudy skies with light rains over Metro Manila, Cagayan Valley, Cordillera Administrative Region, Central Luzon, Calabarzon, Bicol Region, Oriental Mindoro, Marinduque, and Romblon.

Meanwhile, the rest of Luzon and the Visayas may experience partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated light rains due to Amihan.

But PAGASA said that the Amihan will have no significant impact in the above-mentioned areas.

Further, the shear line may bring cloudy skies with scattered rains and isolated thunderstorms over Eastern Visayas, Dinagat Islands, and Surigao del Norte.

Meanwhile, localized thunderstorms may bring partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms over the rest of Mindanao.

The state weather bureau warned of possible flash floods or landslides in areas to be affected by the shear line and localized thunderstorms.

After 24 hours, the highest temperature recorded at PAGASA Weather Station, Science Garden in Quezon City was 27.8 °C at 2 p.m. and the lowest was 23.8 °C at 7 a.m. —Vince Angelo Ferreras/RF, GMA Integrated News
