Cloudy skies, light rains expected over Luzon, Visayas due to Amihan

The Northeast Monsoon, or Amihan, is forecast to bring cloudy skies and light rains over Luzon and Visayas on Friday, the state weather bureau PAGASA said Thursday.

According to the 24-hour weather bulletin issued at 4 p.m., Amihan may bring cloudy skies with light rains over Cagayan Valley and Aurora.

Likewise, the Northeast Monsoon is expected to bring partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated light rains over Metro Manila and the rest of the country.

The shear line may cause cloudy skies with scattered rains and isolated thunderstorms over Eastern Samar, Dinagat Islands, Surigao del Norte, Surigao del Sur, and Davao Oriental.

Localized thunderstorms are expected to bring partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms over the rest of Mindanao, Samar, Leyte, and Southern Leyte.

The state weather bureau warned of possible flash floods or landslides during severe thunderstorms.
