Shear Line, Amihan to bring cloudy skies, rains over PH
The shear line and the northeast monsoon (amihan) are causing rains across several parts of the country, according to PAGASA’s daily weather forecast posted on Friday afternoon.
The shear line will bring cloudy skies with scattered rains and isolated thunderstorms over Eastern Visayas, Central Visayas, Caraga, Catanduanes, Albay, Sorsogon, Masbate, Camiguin, Misamis Oriental, and Davao Oriental.
Localized thunderstorms will be causing partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms over Negros Island Region and the rest of Mindanao.
The Northeast Monsoon will bring cloudy skies with light rains over Cagayan Valley, Apayao, Kalinga, Mountain Province, Ifugao, and Aurora, and partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated light rains over the rest of the country.
Possible flash floods or landslides may occur in some areas as a result of said weather conditions.
Meanwhile, moderate to strong winds with moderate to rough waters will be felt over the eastern sections of Southern Luzon, Northern Luzon, Central Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao as the rest of the country feels light to moderate winds with slight to moderate waters will be observed over the rest of the country.
