Heavy rainfall in eastern part of PH for 1st 3 days of Feb.
Several areas in the eastern portion of the country are expected to experience heavy rainfall on the first three days of February, state weather bureau PAGASA said Sunday morning.
In the 5 a.m. weather advisory, the Shear Line is forecast to bring heavy lanes over the following provinces and areas:
Today (February 1)
(50-100 mm):
Catanduanes, Albay, Sorsogon, Masbate, Samar, Northern Samar, and Eastern Samar
Tomorrow (February 2)
(50-100 mm):
Northern Samar, Eastern Samar, Samar, Leyte, and Southern Leyte
Tuesday (February 3)
(50-100 mm):
Leyte, Southern Leyte, Dinagat Islands, and Surigao del Norte
“Forecast rainfall may be higher in mountainous and elevated areas. Moreover, impacts in some areas may be worsened by significant anticedent rainfall,” PAGASA said.
It also advised that public disaster risk reduction and management offices concerned are to take all necessary measures to protect life and property.
Unless significant changes occur, the next Weather Advisory will be issued at 11:00 a.m. on Sunday. —RF, GMA Integrated News
