Shear line, Amihan to bring rain to parts of Luzon, Visayas
Several areas in Luzon and Visayas will see cloudy skies and rain in the next 24 hours due to the shear line and Northeast Monsoon (Amihan), PAGASA said Sunday afternoon.
According to its 4 p.m. weather forecast, cloudy skies with scattered rains and isolated thunderstorms will persist in Visayas, Catanduanes, Albay, Sorsogon, and Masbate due to the shear line.
Mindanao will experience partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms due to localized thunderstorms.
PAGASA warned that these weather conditions may trigger flash floods or landslides.
Meanwhile, the Amihan will affect the weather conditions of Metro Manila and the rest of Luzon, but with no significant impact.
State meteorologists also said winds will be moderate to strong, while coastal waters will be moderate to rough in Luzon and Visayas.
Mindanao will experience light to moderate winds and slight to moderate coastal waters.
The sun will rise at 6:24 a.m. on Monday. — Mariel Celine Serquiña/BM, GMA Integrated News
