Tropical Depression Basyang now inside PAR

Tropical Depression Basyang entered the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR) on Tuesday afternoon, the state weather bureau said. 

In an advisory, PAGASA said Basyang was monitored inside the PAR at 5:30 p.m.

The state weather bureau will begin issuing tropical cyclone bulletins starting 11 p.m. 

Earlier, PAGASA said Basyang may make landfall in Caraga by Thursday afternoon or evening. 

The state weather bureau added that it may intensify into a tropical storm by Wednesday or Thursday. — JMA, GMA Integated News
