Rains over parts of Visayas, Mindanao due to trough of TD Basyang

The trough of Tropical Depression Basyang will bring cloudy skies with scattered rains and thunderstorms in Eastern Visayas, Central Visayas, Northern Mindanao, Caraga, and Davao Region, according to PAGASA on Wednesday.

As of 3 a.m., the weather bureau said the center of Basyang was at 895 km East of Northeastern Mindanao with maximum sustained winds of 55 kilometers per hour near the center and gustiness of up to 70 km/h. It is moving West Southwestward at 20 km/h.

Cagayan Valley, Apayao, Kalinga, Mountain Province, Ifugao, and Aurora will experience cloudy skies with rains as a result of the Northeast Monsoon.

The Northeast Monsoon will also bring cloudy skies with isolated light rains over Metro Manila and the rest of Luzon.

The rest of the country will see partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms due to localized thunderstorms.
