Shear line, Amihan to bring rains, cloudy skies over Luzon

The shear line and the Northeast Monsoon (Amihan) will cause rains over several parts of Luzon.

According to PAGASA’s daily weather forecast on Saturday afternoon, MIMAROPA, the Bicol Region, Western Visayas, Aurora, Rizal, Laguna, Quezon, Northern Samar, and Eastern Samar will see cloudy skies with scattered rains and isolated thunderstorms.

The Northeast Monsoon will bring cloudy skies with rains over Metro Manila, Cagayan Valley, Cordillera Administrative Region, Nueva Ecija, Bulacan, and the rest of CALABARZON, and partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated light rains over the rest of Luzon.

The rest of the country will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms due to localized thunderstorms.

Flash floods or landslides may occur as a result of these weather conditions.

Meanwhile, Northern Luzon will experience strong to gale-force winds with rough to very rough waters.

The rest of Luzon will have moderate to strong winds with moderate to rough seas, while Visayas and Mindanao will observe light to moderate winds with slight to moderate coastal waters.

Sunrise in Metro Manila will be at 6:23 a.m. on Sunday. —Jiselle Anne Casucian/VBL, GMA Integrated News
