Shear Line, amihan to bring cloudy skies, scattered rains over Visayas, Luzon
The Shear Line will be affecting the Visayas while the effects of the Northeast Monsoon (amihan) will be felt in Luzon, PAGASA reported.
As of 2 a.m., there are no Low Pressure Areas (LPA) that are being monitored for Tropical Cyclone Formation.
Forecast Weather Conditions
Visayas, Albay, Sorsogon, Masbate, and Dinagat islands will have cloudy skies with scattered rains and isolated thunderstorms due to the Shear Line. Flash floods and landslides may occur due to moderate to heavy rains.
Cagayan Valley, Cordillera Administrative Region, Central Luzon, the rest of the Bicol Region, and Quezon will have cloudy skies with light rains due to the Northeast Monsoon but this will have no significant impact.
Metro Manila and the rest of Luzon will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated light rains due to the Northeast Monson with no significant impact.
The rest of Mindanao will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms due to localized thunderstorms. Flash floods and landslides may occur due to severe thunderstorms.
Forecast Wind and Coastal Water Conditions
The eastern sections of Central and Southern Luzon and Visayas will experience strong to gale wind speed moving Northeastward with rough to very rough coastal waters.
The rest of Luzon and the eastern section of Mindanao will experience moderate to strong wind speed also moving Northeastward but with moderate to rough coastal waters.
The rest of the country will have light to moderate wind speed moving Northeastward with slight to moderate coastal waters.
