Amihan, shear line to bring cloudy skies, rains over parts of Luzon
The Shear Line will be affecting the eastern section of Southern Luzon, the Northeast Monsoon (amihan) will affect the rest of Luzon, while the effects of the easterlies will be felt in the rest of the country, PAGASA reported.
Forecast Weather Conditions
Bicol Region, Isabela, Quirino, Aurora, Quezon, Rizal, Laguna, Batangas, Oriental Mindoro, Marinduque, and Romblon will have cloudy skies with scattered rains and isolated thunderstorms due to the Shear Line. Flash floods or landslides may occur in these areas due to moderate to at times heavy rains.
Visayas, Northern Mindanao, Caraga, Davao Region, and SOCCSKSARGEN will have cloudy skies with scattered rains and thunderstorms due to the easterlies with possible flash floods or landslides occurring due to moderate to at times heavy rains.
The rest of Cagayan Valley, Apayao, Kalinga, Mountain Province, and Ifugao will have cloudy skies with light rains due to the Northeast Monsoon but this will have no significant impact.
Metro Manila, Ilocos Region, Central Luzon, the rest of Cordillera Administrative Region, and the rest of CALABARZON will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated light rains due to the Northeast Monsoon but with no significant impact.
The rest of the country will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms due to the Easterlies. Flash floods or landslides may occur during severe thunderstorms.
Forecast Wind and Coastal Water Conditions
The wind speed forecast for Northern Luzon and the eastern sections of Central and Southern Luzon is moderate to strong moving Northeastward with moderate to rough coastal waters.
The rest of the country will experience light to moderate wind speed moving in the east to northeast direction with slight to moderate coastal waters.
