Shear line to affect parts of Luzon

Shear line to affect parts of Luzon

Several parts of Luzon will experience cloudy skies with scattered rains and isolated thunderstorms because of the shear line, the state weather bureau PAGASA said in its early Saturday morning forecast.

These areas include Mainland Cagayan, Isabela, Quirino, Nueva Vizcaya, Aurora, Nueva Ecija, Bulacan, Quezon, Rizal, Laguna, and Camarines Norte.

Partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated light rains will prevail in Batanes, Babuyan Islands, Apayao, and Ilocos Norte due to the Northeast Monsoon (Amihan), while the rest of the country will see partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms caused by the easterlies.

Winds and coastal waters will be moderate in Northern Luzon and the eastern sections of Central Luzon, Southern Luzon, and Visayas.

Light to moderate winds and slight to moderate coastal waters are forecast for the rest of the country.

Sunrise in Metro Manila will be at 6:21 a.m. Sunset is expected at 6 p.m. —VBL, GMA Integrated News
