Cloudy skies, rains expected in Luzon due to shear line, Amihan
Multiple weather systems will continue to bring cloudy conditions and rains across the country.
According to PAGASA’s daily weather forecast on Saturday afternoon, Metro Manila, Central Luzon, Mainland Cagayan, Isabela, Quirino, Nueva Vizcaya, Benguet, Ifugao, Pangasinan, La Union, Laguna, Rizal, and Quezon will have cloudy skies with scattered rains and isolated thunderstorms caused by the shear line.
The Northeast Monsoon (Amihan) will bring partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated light rains over the rest of the Ilocos Region, the rest of the Cordillera Administrative Region, and the rest of the Cagayan Valley.
The easterlies will cause cloudy skies with scattered rains and thunderstorms over Dinagat Islands, Surigao del Norte, Surigao del Sur, Basilan, Sulu, and Tawi-Tawi, and partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms over the rest of the country.
Flash floods or landslides are possible as a result of these weather conditions.
Meanwhile, moderate winds with moderate seas will be observed over Northern Luzon and the eastern sections of Central Luzon, Southern Luzon, and Visayas.
The rest of the country will experience light to moderate winds with slight to moderate coastal waters.
Sunrise in Metro Manila will be at 6:20 a.m. on Sunday. —Jiselle Anne Casucian/VBL, GMA Integrated News
