PAGASA: 3 weather systems to bring rain across PH

Several parts of the country will experience rain over the next 24 hours due to three prevailing weather systems, the state weather bureau said Sunday afternoon.

In its 4 p.m. forecast, PAGASA reported that the shear line will bring cloudy skies with scattered rains and isolated thunderstorms over Cagayan, Isabela, and Aurora.

The easterlies, meanwhile, will affect Quezon Province, Metro Manila, and the rest of the country, bringing generally cloudy conditions with possible rain showers.

PAGASA warned that these weather conditions could trigger flash floods or landslides, particularly during periods of moderate to heavy rainfall.

The Northeast Monsoon, or amihan, will bring partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated light rains over Ilocos Norte, Apayao, Batanes, and the Babuyan Islands, although no significant impact is expected in these areas.

State meteorologists added that moderate winds and coastal waters will prevail over the northern and eastern sections of the country.

Elsewhere, winds will be light to moderate, with slight to moderate sea conditions.

Sunrise in Metro Manila on Monday will be at 6:20 a.m.—MCG, GMA Integrated News
