Amihan, easterlies to bring rains all over PH

Cloudy skies and rain are expected to persist in several areas of the country in the next 24 hours due to two weather systems, PAGASA said Monday afternoon.

According to its 4 p.m. weather forecast, the state weather bureau said the easterlies will affect the weather conditions of Cagayan, Isabela, Aurora, Quezon, Metro Manila, and the rest of the country.

PAGASA warned that these weather conditions may trigger flash floods and landslides.

Meanwhile, the Northeast Monsoon (Amihan) will bring partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated light rains in Batanes, but with no significant impact.

State meteorologists also said winds will be moderate to strong, while coastal waters will be moderate to rough in extreme Northern Luzon.

The rest of the country will experience light to moderate winds and slight to moderate coastal waters.

Sunrise in Metro Manila will be at 6:19 a.m. on Tuesday. —Mariel Celine Serquiña/RF, GMA Integrated News
