Rain to persist across PH due to 3 weather systems

Several areas of the country may expect cloudy skies and rain in the next 24 hours due to three weather systems, PAGASA said Thursday afternoon.

In its 4 p.m. weather forecast, the state weather bureau said Caraga, Davao Region, Northern Mindanao, SOCCKSKARGEN, Eastern Visayas, Cebu, and Bohol will experience cloudy skies with scattered rains and isolated thunderstorms due to the shear line.

Partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms will be observed throughout the rest of Mindanao due to the easterlies.

PAGASA warned that these weather conditions may trigger flash floods or landslides.

Meanwhile, the Northeast Monsoon (Amihan) will affect the weather conditions in Cagayan Valley, Apayao, Kalinga, Aurora, Quezon, Metro Manila, the rest of Luzon, and the rest of Visayas.

Winds will be moderate to strong, while coastal waters will be moderate to rough in Luzon and the eastern section of the country.

The rest of the country will experience light to moderate winds and slight to moderate coastal waters.

Sunrise in Metro Manila will be at 6:18 a.m. on Friday. —Mariel Celine Serquiña/VBL, GMA Integrated News
