Cloudy skies, rains over parts of PH due to shear line, Amihan
A shear line and the Northeast Monsoon (Amihan) will bring cloudy skies and rainfall over several parts of the country, state weather bureau PAGASA said Friday.
According to its daily weather forecast on Friday afternoon, PAGASA said the shear line will cause cloudy skies with scattered rains and isolated thunderstorms over Mindanao, Eastern Visayas, and Central Visayas.
On the other hand, the Northeast Monsoon will bring cloudy skies with light rains over Cagayan Valley, Bicol Region, Apayao, Kalinga, Mountain Province, Ifugao, Aurora, and Quezon, and partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated light rains over Metro Manila, the rest of Luzon, and the rest of Visayas.
Flash floods or landslides may occur in some areas as a result of these weather conditions.
Meanwhile, Luzon and the eastern section of Visayas will have moderate to strong winds with moderate to rough waters.
The rest of the country will experience light to moderate winds with slight to moderate seas.
Sunrise in Metro Manila is at 6:18 a.m. on Saturday.
